Lahore (August 16, 2016): The co-chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and former president Asif Ali Zardari has called meeting of party leaders at Bilawal House here today.
According to details, the meeting will also be attended by president of Peoples Party Central Punjab Qamar Zaman Kaira and party’s information secretary Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar.
Shaukat Basra, Samina Khalid Gharki, Azizur Rahman Chan, and other important leaders will also be the part of today’s important gathering.
During the meeting a number of political matters including those pertaining to election campaign in National Assembly constituency NA-120 Lahore will be discussed.
The PPP will also be contacting opposition parties to discuss the prevalent political situation in the country.
Earlier, the co-chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and former president Asif Ali Zardari landed in Lahore from Dubai yesterday. Sources told Abb Takk that he would take some significant decisions after consultation with senior party leaders. He would also take decision regarding the changes and reshuffle in Sindh cabinet.
Sources told Abb Takk that PPP-led provincial government has decided to make major changes in the cabinet once again. Several ministers likely to be removed and new faces will be included in the cabinet.
Sources told Abb Takk News that several ministers of the Sindh cabinet are likely to lose some of their portfolios.
The ministers from whom portfolios are likely to be taken away include Minister for Works and Services Imdad Pitafi, Minister for Population Welfare Mumtaz Jakhrani and Adviser to Chief Minister for Social Welfare Shamim Mumtaz, as per the sources.
Sources told that health Minister Sikandar Mindro will also be removed from his post along with two other ministers.
The ministers to be included in the provincial cabinet include Saeed Ghani, Imtiaz Shaikh and Jam Madad Ali. Ghani is likely to be made the information minister in place of Nasir Hussain Shah. Besides information, Shah holds the transport and labour portfolios.
Meantime, various party leaders met with party chairman Bilawal Bhutto separately yesterday and discussed political situation particularly Sindh.
Newly elected senator Murtaza Wahab, provincial minister for culture Syed Sardar Shah, PPP’s central information secretary Maula Bux Chandio and Saeed Ghani met with Bilawal Bhutto and discussed affairs related to party and province.
