ISLAMABAD: Senate election and 22nd constitutional amendment becomes most discussable topics of the country as political parties have increased their contacts underway between leaderships.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman and former President Asif Ali Zardari made telephonic contact with Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Sirajul Haq.
Zardari, Sirajul Haq exchanged views of ongoing political situation of the country during the telephonic contact.
Zardari apprised Sirajul Haq regarding PPP’s stance over 22nd constitutional amendment likely to be made before Senate polls scheduled on March 5, 2015.
Zardari said that the PML-N government apparently failed to remove concerns of political parties on 22nd amendment. He added that PPP will not support such legislation which claimed rights of other political parties.
