ISLAMABAD: Co-Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari could not be indicted Monday in the Parklane reference as the case against him and others in the fake accounts case postponed untill June 10 due to coronavirus.
Accountabiltiy Court (AC) Judge Muhammad Azam Khan heard the fake accounts and mega money laundering case agains Asif Ali Zardari and others.
Asif Ali Zardari and Faryal Talpur did’nt appear before the court while Natioanl Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor Waseem Javeed and investigation officer Qasim Khan appeared before the court.
The ex-president counsel Latif Khosa filed exemption petition from appearence for Asif Zardari and requested that the case is not heading forward amid the coronavirus and hearing be summoned after Eid.
On which, the court adjourned the hearing untill June 10.
Besides that the court also adjourned other cases till the same date which inlcuded the Pink residency, misappropriation in subsidies for sugar case farmers references.
