LAHORE: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Saturday said that for the government Pakistan come first and would do everything to bring out the country from difficulties.
Addressing a seminar organized by Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists in Lahore, Sadiq said that the enemy was making all out efforts to disrupt China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects which would be thwarted.
Sadiq urged media to realize its professional responsibilities and refrain from maligning and stigmatizing any personality without evidence.
He said an ethics committee should be formed to stop false reporting and scandalizing respected citizens.
The speaker said that media is playing active role in strengthening of democracy in the country and should project positive aspects and true picture of the situation.
He asked media to highlight maximally the brutalities being carried out by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir against the innocent people of Kashmir.
