England clinch victory in 2nd match of series against Pakistan by 23 runs

Birmingham: England have gotten a victory in second match of a four match series against Pakistan by 23 runs.

Pakistani batters pathetic performance led England triumph in the match as opener Muhammad Rizwan lost his wicket on very first ball while only Fakhar Zaman 45 and Baber Azam 32 made little impact on the match.

While Ifthakhar Ahmed with 23 and Imad Waseem with 22 runs were other scorer of the match while Sayim Ayub, Azam Kha, Shadab Khan, could not do well in the game.

Reece Topley was the top wicket taker from England as he got three wickets while Moeen Ali and Jofra Archer begged two wickets each.

Whereas Chris Jordan, Adil Rashid andLiam Livingstone got one wicket each.

Earlier, Pakistani skipper Baber Aazam decided to field first after winning the toss and could not get benefit from the decision.

England had set 184 runs target for opponent Pakistan in second match of a four match series here in Birmingham.

England skipper Jos Buttler was the highest scorer from his side as he scored 84 on 51 balls with a strike rate of 164.70, followed by Will Jacks made 37 runs off 23 balls while Jonny Bairstow hit 21 off 18 balls.

From Pakistani side Shaheen Shah Afridi took three wickets, Harris Rauf and Imad Waseem got two wickets each.
