Entry of western winds, increase in cold intensity across the country, rain is also likely

Lahore: Due to the entry of western winds, the intensity of cold has increased across the country, including the provincial capital Lahore, while rains are also likely to start from today.

According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature of the city of Bagh, Lahore, is likely to go up to 9 degrees Celsius and maximum 17 degrees Celsius today, while the wind speed in the city has been recorded at 6 kilometers per hour.

Weather forecasters say that from today to January 6, there are chances of rain in various districts of Punjab including Lahore, which is expected to increase the severity of the cold.

On the other hand, the weather in Islamabad and surrounding areas is expected to be cold and partly cloudy with light rain.

Rain and snowfall are expected in North and West Balochistan, Upper KPK, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and adjacent hilly areas. During the night, moderate to heavy rain and snowfall are predicted at a few places in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Moderate to heavy fog is expected in the morning and night hours in most areas of Punjab and Upper Sindh, rain is expected in Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, while light rain is also expected in Murre Guliyat and its surround . The weather is likely to remain cold and dry in most of the districts.
