Karachi: Sindh High Court has approved the protective bail of former President Arif Alvi in 3 cases
In the petition filed in the Sindh High Court, the former president stated that despite the peaceful protest, cases have been registered under the Terrorism Act and other serious provisions.
According to the information so far, cases have been registered against me in Mianwali, Taxila and Rawalpindi.
The petition also requested that the Sindh Police be restrained from arresting Arif Alvi and including his name in unknown FIRs.
Later, the court granted Arif Alvi’s protective bail for 20 days on a bond of 50,000.
The court said that the matter is being sent to the constitution bench for further hearing of the case, the constitution bench will look into other matters including the details of the cases.
