Facebook Introduces ‘Facebook Watch’ Video Service

Web Desk (August 31, 2018): Facebook has introduced a video service called ‘Facebook Watch’ internationally. Users will be able to watch TV shows and other videos through this service, on the basis of ‘Video on demand’.

Based on Google YouTube’s style, Facebook has rolled out its new video service by the name of ‘Facebook Watch’, which has already been available in the United States for more than a year, which will be available globally now, to benefit people Worldwide. A ‘play’ button has been added in Facebook app for this feature, which can be seen from today only.Facebook vice president said that we designed the product not just in a mindless consumption but in order to get people engaged.

Facebook claims that its advantage against other platforms is the ways Watch helps viewers interact with others.According to Facebook spokesperson, publishers need to have created three-minute videos that have generated more than 30,000 one-minute views in total over the past two months and must have 10,000 followers to participate in Ad Breaks. Facebook was working on a variety of other options for creators to make money, such as branded content and the ability for fans to directly support their favorite creators through subscriptions.
