Faisal Mumtaz Rathore sworn in as AJK Prime Minister

MUZAFARABAD: Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, the newly elected Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), was sworn into office on Tuesday.

The oath-taking ceremony took place at the President’s House, with Speaker Chaudhry Latif Akbar presiding over the event to administer the oath.

Dignitaries present included the governors of Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, PPP leader Faryal Talpur, members of the AJK Legislative Assembly, senior civil officials, and prominent military figures.

Rathore has officially assumed office as the 16th Prime Minister of AJK.

In his speech during the ceremony, Rathore extended his gratitude to Asif Ali Zardari, Faryal Talpur, and Bilawal Bhutto for showing confidence in his leadership. He also commended the Pakistan Army for their enduring sacrifices in safeguarding the nation and emphasized that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is committed to strengthening its bond with the people.
