Islamabad (November 18, 2017): Faizabad sit-in continues despite Islamabad administration warned the protesters to clear the main road by tonight; otherwise, force will be used against them.
Earlier in the day, Islamabad High Court (IHC) ordered district administration to remove the sit-in by tomorrow morning. Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui ordered the city administration to end the sit-in through dialogue with the protesters and use force if required.

The protesters gathered at the entrance of the federal capital on the call of Tehreek Labbaik Ya Rasool-ul-llah (TLR) and Sunni Tehreek are demanding sacking the federal law minister Zahid Hamid for what they said attempting to alter the oath regarding finality of Prophethood for those running for assemblies in elections.
The protesters have chocked the main entry point of the capital, besieging the residents of the capital and making the lives of the twin cities miserable.
The government has tried to settle the issue through negotiation, but the protesters are stuck to their demand of sacking the law minister and taking action against those involved in reserved change in the Khatm-e-Nabuat oath.
Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal spoke over the ongoing protest in Islamabad and said that there is no need to continue the protest as clause pertaining to Khatam-e-Nabuwat [Finality of Prophethood] has been restored to its original form.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Friday, he said we are ready to hold dialogue with the organizers of the sit-in to resolve the matter peacefully.
All the parties came together to restore the clauses of Khatam-e-Nabuwat [Finality of Prophet-hood] to their original form, he remarked while speaking to media at Press Information Department.
Senate passed on Friday the Elections Amendment Bill, 2017, related to Khatam-e-Nabuwat clauses for voters, after the National Assembly (NA) did the same on Thursday.
On the Islamabad protest, he remarked that it has brought life to a standstill in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
“After all our tries and negotiations, they [the protesters] have not left till today,” said Ahsan.
