Toronto: Famous actor of television and film industry Qavi Khan breathed his last today as he passed away in Canada, President Karachi’ Arts Council Ahmed Shah apprised.
Ahmed Shah further informed that due to his illness, the senior actor had gone to Canada for treatment.
He was 80 years old.

The role of SP in The TV serial ” Andehra Ujala” written by Younis Javed sent his popularity on new heights.
He has also worked in Radio Pakistan and on stage.

Though now largely working in television, he has acted in over 200 films.
The Government of Pakistan honoured Khan with the Pride of Performance in 1980 and Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 2012 for his contribution to the field of arts.
He was born in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on November 13, 1942.
