Karachi: The famous business personality and an owner of Avari Group Byram D Awari passed away this night today. He was 81.
Byram Dinshaw Avari had been sick for sometime. He was hospitalized in a private hospital of Karachi as he had been operated for his large intestines.
The the operation he was in critical condition owing to which doctors had transferred him on the ventilator.
He left behind in mourning a wife and three children.
Last Rites
His last rites will be performed on Monday 1 pm at Beach Luxury hotel.
The prominent businessman was also the chairman of Parsi Association.
Gold Medalist In Asian Games
Another interesting thing was on his credit that he had won twice gold medal in the Asian Games in the game of sailing.
For the first time he won a gold medal in 1978 with Muneer Sadiq and got a gold medal again in 1982 with his wife Goshapa Awari.
Besides this he was among the prominent business and social personality.
