KARACHI: A man on Monday morning died in Jaffar Tayyar Society of the metropolis after he was accidentally electrocuted, leaving four of his kids behind.
According to area residents, the deceased identified as Ameer Arif Ayaz who had touched the rolling shutter of a shop which was electrified.
“Arif had mistakenly touched the electrified shutter while drinking water. A high-tension wire had broken down due to which shop’s shutter got charged with electricity”, the residents said.
The bereaved family and residents have alleged K-Electric for the death of the rickshaw driver, claiming that they had informed K-Electric of the breaking of wires but they never once reached the site to repair it.
Arif’s family announced to commence legal action against the electric supply company.
