ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister of Information Fawad Chaudhary on Tuesday said that the previous governments took loans of USD 60 billion and embezzled that amount.
Fawad Chaudhry took to Twitter and raised serious accusations over the former premier Nawaz Sharif and the former president Asif Ali Zardari.
He accused via his timeline; “The amount taken by Pakistan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) from 1947 to 2008 was USD 37 billion which was used for making dams, military bases and motorways.”

“But the loans taken from 2008 to 2018 was drastically increased to an amount of USD 60 billion where that amount went,” he added.
“The public money was embezzled by these two families and was sent abroad via illegal means,” he accused.

“The embezzled amount was sent abroad via illegal means and several fake accounts and fake people were used in the process,” he further said.
“Asif Ali Zardari, Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif are the prime actors of this act and side actors are too many,” he concluded.
