ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Fawad Choudhary has rebuffed all claims of the government looking for any major reshuffle in the federal cabinet and bureaucracy.
Talking to media in Islamabad, the Information minister rejected the ongoing talks in political arena surrounding Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government.
“No change will take place in ministries. Prime Minister Imran Khan has sent me his message that media is running fake news regarding the affair”, Fawad Choudhary said.
He added that ministers are maintaining their designations solely because Prime Minister is satisfied with their performance, adding that such rumours escalate whenever talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) take place.
Reiterating that media should not run any wrong or fake news, Fawad Choudhary said that the government will apprise the media if any reshuffle will be made.
“Finance minister Asad Umar will give a thorough briefing in his negotiations with IMF. A positive development is also taking place on the affair of FATF”, the federal minister said while claiming that Pakistan is moving towards a stronger economy.
