Islamabad (March 10, 2018): The head of Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazalur Rehman in conversation with PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on telephone reiterated his stance to nominate former chairman Senate Raza Rabbani as joint candidate for Senate chairman.
The JUI head said that most of the parties are agreed on the name of Raza Rabbani as chairman Senate as he was the best option.

On the suggestion of the Maulana Fazalur Rehman, PPP co-chairman ensured him to mulling over his advice in party meeting.
Sources claimed PML-N and its allied parties have given the task to Maulana Fazalur Rehman to talks with Asif Zardari.
Siraj Supports Rabbani
Earlier, the head of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sirajul Haq supporting the Raza Rabbani as joint Senate chairman candidate said that the next chairman Senate should be elected unanimously and Raza Rabbani will be the best option.
Addressing to JI consultative meeting in Peshawar, JI Ameer said that all parties should be agreed on Raza Rabbani name as agreement on his name will help to minimize political tension.
