ISLAMABAD: The Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) has collected more revenue than the target in the fiscal year 2023-24.
According to FBR, the revenue target for the financial year 2023-24 was Rs 9,252 billion, while FBR collected revenue of Rs 9,306 billion more than the target by Rs 54 billion. According to FBR, the target of tax collections for the current financial year was 9 thousand 410 billion rupees, however, FBR reduced the tax collection target to 9 thousand 252 billion rupees.
As per FBR, revenue collection has increased by 30% compared to last financial year. The revenue target for the previous financial year was Rs 7,164 billion, but FBR collected Rs 2,142 billion more than the target. According to FBR, only during June 2024, revenues of 1 thousand 183 billion rupees were collected
