Islamabad: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in a various actions have taken into its custody smuggled commodities worth of Rs 2.25 billion, the FBR said in a press release.
The things include sugar, urea, Pakistani currency and other things, the FBR added.
The FBR apprised that the Custom Enforcement Quetta caught 1637 ton sugar of worth Rs one billion.
The custom Enforcement DI Khan and Karachi have taken into its custody thousands of litres Irani diesel and petrol.

The FBR has issued instructions to collectorates ,mobile squads of all airports and anti- smuggling formations to keep strict eye on illegal transportation of essential commodities
Chairman FBR Malik Amjad Zubair Twana and member customs operation Zaiba Haye Azhar have praised timely action against smuggling by Pakistan customs.
The FBR said that Pakistan customs has a resolve to end menace of smuggling.
