Islamabad: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is striving hard to achieved a reviewed whopping target of Rs 12,334 billion.
The FBR offices will remain open on Saturday as well for collection of tax and duties. On the other hand to meet the enormous target the enforcement process has been speed up.
The FBR has issued a circular to large tax payers units and regional offices to keep offices open on May 31 on Saturday.
As per the circular all the offices of the FBR will remain open till 8 pm night on May 31 on Saturday.
The FBR officials said that for the completion of the tax target enforcement will be speed up from June 31.
Whereas tax defualters have been issued notices for following of the tax laws.
The FBR has faced with a shortfall of Rs 833 billion from April to July.
The FBR has collected Rs 9,309 billion in first 10 months of current fiscal year whereas it has the tax target of Rs 12,970 billion in the same period.
