ISLAMABAD: On Monday, the Federal Constitutional Court rejected a plea requesting approval for a court-authorized meeting with the PTI founder to obtain legal instructions.
During the proceedings, the lawyer emphasized the necessity of meeting his client in light of the detailed judgment and urged the court to grant permission under Article 187 of the Constitution.
Chief Justice Ameen ud Din Khan clarified that the constitutional court lacked the authority to issue such an order. The court advised the petitioner to seek permission from the appropriate trial court to meet the detained political leader.
Subsequently, the petition was dismissed.
