Islamabad: The federal government could not take any decision over free units of electricity given to government officials.
The Ministry of water resources has opposed the decision to end the free units saying that the step will not result into saving of the electricity.
National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has adviced to give utility allowance to the government employees.
Meanwhile the Ministry of finance is in favor of ending the free units provision to the government officials
