Islamabad: Federal cabinet has approved ban on Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) while the approval was taken on circulation summary.
The ban on TLP was approved under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATC). Federal cabinet approved the summary of the Interior Ministry. Punjab Government has recommended ban on the TLP.
After approval from the federal cabinet the work on declaration of ban on the TLP has been started.
The Federal government will present the declaration of the ban in the Supreme Court of Pakistan. On the verdict of the SC the Election Commission of Pakistan will denotify TLP.
After De-notification the TLP members of assemblies will be declared disqualified.
