Federal capital announces winter break for schools and colleges

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has confirmed the schedule for winter vacations across educational institutions under its jurisdiction in the federal capital.

As outlined in an official notification, all model schools and colleges in Islamabad will observe winter holidays from December 26 to January 3. Throughout this period, all FDE-administered institutions will remain closed.

According to the announcement, academic activities are set to resume on Monday, January 5, with students expected to return to their regular class schedules on that day. This move ensures clarity for students, parents, and teaching staff regarding the vacation timetable.

Additionally, the Directorate clarified that Saturday, January 10, has been designated as a working day for staff. This adjustment aims to make up for the academic time missed during the winter break.

The notification is applicable to all educational institutions operating under the Federal Directorate of Education.
