Islamabad: Federal government has approved privatization of 24 institutions.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar chaired privatization committee meeting on Friday.
The institutions are going to privitize includes PIA, First Women Bank Limited, HBF, Agriculture Development Bank, Utility Stores Corporation.
The huddle also approved to hand over electricity distribution companies to private sector.
In the next meeting phase wise privatization program will be finalized. The meeting issues press release according to which the government scope will be of strategic and essential state institutions.
