Govt Vows to Eliminate TB Till 2030: Health Minister

Islamabad(March 26, 2018): Federal Minister for health Saira Afzal Tarar has said that govt is working on emergency against TB and we will eliminate the disease by 2030.

She was addressing an awareness seminar in Islamabad.The federal minister said that total 1700 centers for free treatment overall Pakistan.

She said that the increasing population has increased the carriers of TB as well.She told that more than 3.5 lacs people were affected by the TB in 2016.Talking about the steps were taken by the govt she briefed that 40 centers for verification of TB and HIV are allocated in different areas of Pakistan.

The seminar was attended by the representatives of WHO.

Pakistan is not only in contract with WHO, TB Strategy and Stop TB Partnership Global Plan but a high level conference on TB this may.
