Peshawar (October 6, 2017): Despite Election Commission ban on development work in Peshawar NA-4, the constituency, in which by-poll will be held on October 26, the development projects are being initiated by the federal and provincial government, a sheer violation of the code of conduct set by the ECP.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) provincial member assembly Ishtiaq Armar has inaugurated the tube well in Shiekhan of NA-4. The solar powered tube well will be constructed with the cost of 11.3 million rupees.
The federal government is also busy in development work in NA-4 under PM advisor Amir Muqam as the projects of energy and gas being initiated by the federal government.However, ECP claimed the Code of Conduct in the constituency being monitored.
The NA-4 seat fell vacant after the death of PTI’s Gulzar Khan, who had secured more than 55000 votes in the 2013 general elections followed by PML-N’s Musazai who bagged over 20,000 votes.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam–Fazl (JUI-F) has already withdrawn its candidate in favour of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in constituency NA-4, Peshawar-IV by elections.
