CHITRAL: The historic ‘Uchal’ festival has concluded with a colorful ceremony in Kalash Valley of Chitral.
The festival was celebrated in Rambur and Bomburit areas of the valley.
During the festival, various rituals were performed at high altars and special places.
The Kalash community celebrates Uchal festival every year from 20th to 23rd August.
The festival is celebrated as a good omen for the harvest of crops and fruits in summer. To ensure security during the festival, the tourism police of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Authority remained deputed on the spot
