ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Interior on Thursday sent a summary to the Prime Minister stating the financial requirements for ‘Kartarpur Corridor’ demanded by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
As per details, Immigration-Wing of the FIA demanded to recruit more personnel and sought funds for operationalization of the ‘Kartarpur Corridor’ Project. As per the reports reaching here, the FIA had demanded an amount of Rs280 million but the MoI has approved Rs 250 million in the summary sent to the PM for the project.
A summary recommending the demand of the FIA has been sent to the PM for approval.
The sources have also informed that the sanctioned fund will be utilized for the purchasing of equipments and development of the project.
On the other hand, MoI has also sent the copies of the summary to finance ministry, foreign ministry and establishment division.
