ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency has started investigation against former director finance of Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (Erra)on corruption charges.
According to sources, the FIA has obtained evidence of alleged corruption of the former director of Erra Akram Naved.
They said that some Rs200 millions funds of the Authority was embezzled. Properties were bought in Islamabad and Lahore through the embezzled funds of the authority by the accused.
FIA sources said that the accused had bought nine luxury flats in Lahore and one in Islamabad.
Director FIA Mazhar Kakakhel has sought complete record regarding Akram Naveed.
