WEB DESK: Field Marshal Asim Munir met with Saima Saleem, a member of Pakistan’s mission at the United Nations, and appreciated her efforts to highlight Pakistan’s stance on key global and regional issues.
According to ISPR, Field Marshal Asim Munir stated that Saima Saleem is an inspiring example of determination and courage for persons with disabilities. He described her as a shining star for the nation and acknowledged that despite being visually impaired, she holds a prominent position in international diplomacy.
Field Marshal Asim Munir also emphasized that the Pakistan Army is committed to supporting and empowering persons with disabilities.
According to ISPR, Saima Saleem briefed him on her work at the United Nations, as well as on major issues and challenges facing Pakistan. She also shared her literary work with the Field Marshal.
He appreciated her efforts in emphasizing Pakistan’s stance on important global and regional matters. The Field Marshal praised Saima Saleem for highlighting the issue of Indian state-sponsored terrorism in the region.
