RAWALPINDI: Mr. Ali Ardeshir Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, met with Field Marshal Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Syed Asim Munir , at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
Their discussions centered on bilateral collaboration, regional security matters, and the need to strengthen relations between Pakistan and Iran.
During the meeting, both leaders examined the current security environment in the region. The COAS reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to fostering peace and stability in the area, emphasizing the necessity of closer cooperation with Iran to counter terrorism. He also stressed the growing importance of strategic partnerships given the shifting geopolitical landscape.
Mr. Ali Larijani recognized Pakistan’s pivotal role in maintaining regional peace and security, expressing his commitment to enhancing Iran-Pakistan relations further. He highlighted the value of dialogue and joint efforts between the two nations to address shared challenges and achieve long-term stability.
