During the conflict, Pakistan managed to down six Indian fighter jets, including three Rafale aircraft, as well as numerous drones. After approximately 87 hours of intense fighting, the hostilities ceased with a ceasefire agreement brokered by the United States. The escalation was triggered by the deadly attack in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir that resulted in 26 tourist deaths, which India blamed on Pakistan without presenting concrete evidence.

In recognition of his exceptional military leadership, valor, and commitment to defending Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, Chief of Army Staff Munir was promoted to the esteemed rank of Field Marshal, underscoring his pivotal role in safeguarding national security.
