ISLAMABAD: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, met with the President of the Republic of Indonesia, His Excellency Prabowo Subianto, in Islamabad.
During their discussions, they addressed matters of mutual interest, regional security, and bilateral defence cooperation. Both parties expressed their commitment to further strengthening the existing ties between the armed forces of the two nations.
The Indonesian dignitary commended the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged Pakistan’s significant contribution to fostering regional peace and stability.
The Chief of Army Staff highlighted Pakistan’s appreciation for its longstanding relationship with Indonesia and reaffirmed the country’s dedication to enhancing defence collaboration in areas such as training, counter-terrorism, and capacity building.
