Moscow (June 26, 2018): Third and last round of group matches between teams of group C and D will be played today in FIFA World Cup, which will decide the teams who will be playing in next phase.
Pre-quarter finals between teams of group C, Australia and Peru will be played at 7:00 pm PST at Fisht Stadium.
Peru have been eliminated from the World Cup after losing 1-0 to Denmark and 1-0 to France. Australia have one point after losing 2-1 to France and drawing Denmark 1-1, need to beat Peru and hope the already qualified French can defeat the Denmark to have hope of qualifying for the last 16.
Denmark and France from group C will be competing at the same time at Luzhniki Stadium.
France have qualified for the next round .They will top the group if they avoid defeat, whereas, Denmark need a draw to advance and a win to top the group.
In group D, encounter between Nigeria and Argentina will start at 11:00 pm PST at Saint Petersburg Stadium.
To have any hope of progressing, Argentina must beat Nigeria and also hope Iceland do not win against Croatia. Victory for Nigeria would guarantee them progress.
Iceland and Croatia from group D will oppose each other at the same time in Rostov Arena.
Croatia is already through to the second round with two wins, they will top the group if they win or draw. Iceland must win and Argentina must avoid defeat against Nigeria for Iceland to have a chance of qualifying.
