Quetta (May 13, 2017): The FIR of Mastun blast targeting the convoy of Deputy Chairman Senate Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri was registered at City Police station under sections relating to murder, attempt to murder and Anti-Terrorism Act.
As per details, the FIR has been registered against unknown accused. Some 25 people were killed and over 40 other injured when the convoy of JUI-F leader and Senate deputy chief was hit an explosion in Mastung area of Balochistan.
Meanwhile, the funeral prayers of those killed in the carnage was offered in different areas of the province. The funeral of Director Staff Senate Iftikhar Mughal, who also embraced martyrdom in the attack, was offered in Islamabad. Senator Azam Swati, Senator Salahuddin and others high profile people besides a large numbers of people attended the funeral. Mughal was later buried in a local graveyard.
On the other hand, Maulana Haideri, who was injured in the attack, is under treatment at Combined Military Hospital in Quetta. Doctors said that the Maulana was recovering fast.
JUI-F staged protest demonstrations across Baluchistan and other areas of the country against the Friday’s attack.
