ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has been named in an FIR filed over the deaths of three Rangers personnel during the party’s protest in Islamabad on November 26.
The senior leadership of PTI has been charged with murder, terrorism, and 10 sections of the Pakistan Penal Code, with the case registered on behalf of a Sindh Rangers official.
An FIR for triple murder has been registered against PTI founder and Bushra Bibi at Islamabad’s Ramna police station.
The FIR also names senior PTI leaders, including Ali Amin Gandapur, Umar Ayub, Waqas Akram, Salman Akram Raja, Murad Saeed, Zulfi Bukhari, Rauf Hassan, Hammad Azhar, and others.
According to the FIR, the incident involving the killing of Rangers personnel occurred on the orders of the PTI founder, with the entire plan orchestrated inside Adiala Jail. The planning was allegedly done through senior PTI leaders visiting the jail at different times.
The FIR states that witnesses to the plan include some prisoners, laborers, and undercover police officers inside the jail.
It also mentions that Bushra Bibi and other suspects incited the public through video messages. PTI’s leadership allegedly provoked the public to rebel against the military and the government, leading to the incident.
It is noteworthy that during a recent PTI protest in Islamabad, a vehicle driven by an unidentified driver struck three Rangers personnel on duty, resulting in their martyrdom.
