ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Thursday said the climax of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s ailment is nearing.
Nawaz’s request to the apex court for medical treatment in abroad has proved that he wanted to get rid of jail and wants to fly London,” said SAPM Firdous Ashiq in a statement.

Earlier, a high-level meeting chaired by Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan in Islamabad today reviewed several steps and recommendations for establishing better coordination between information department of the federation and provinces for timely exchange and provision of information.
The meeting also discussed the issues pertaining to development and promotion of the media industry including issues being faced by the journalists.
Speaking on the occasion, Firdous Ashiq Awan said media is an integral part of democracy and it is our strength.
