BELEM: A fire has erupted in the pavilion during the COP 30 climate conference in Brazil.
According to reports from a news agency, the fire broke out on Thursday at the United Nations Climate Conference COP 30 held in Belém, Brazil.
The agency stated that the blaze caused panic among delegates, who hurried to evacuate the pavilion area. Emergency response teams promptly arrived at the scene to control the fire.
The pavilion housed stalls from various countries and organizations. Due to the fire, the building was evacuated, and thousands of delegates were quickly evacuated from the venue.
Brazil’s Minister of Tourism, Celso Sabino, confirmed that the fire has been brought under control and that there are no reports of injuries.
The news agency also reported that as a result of the fire, today’s events of COP 30 have been canceled.
