KARACHI: – Several workers were injured after fire erupted in a chemical factory in Karachi’s SITE.
As per details, two workers, who were stuck on roof of the factory, have been evacuated by rescue officials.
According to MD Water Board, emergency has been imposed on NIPA and Sakhi Hassan hydrants and all other tankers have been removed.
The fire has been declared third degree.
Chief fire officer apprised the journalist that as many as 12 fire tenders are taking part in extinguishing the fire adding that presence of petrol and thinner in large quantity in the factory hindering the fire dousing operation.
He added that spread of the fire has been stopped and expressed hope that in two to three hours the fire will be extinguished.
