Karachi: A fire at Kashif center on Shahra-e-Faisal has been doused while the flames of the fire have reached from second floor to 9th floor.
Whereas as many as 40 persons including women have been rescued safely. Still 12 are trapped in the building.
With the help of snorkel the rescue work is continued.
Preliminary assessments indicate that a brief electrical malfunction in the wiring ignited the fire. The fire originated in the wiring duct, and the building lacked an emergency exit.
The fire that originated on the second floor subsequently extended to the higher levels.
A woman rescued from the building apprised that taking breath has been impossible when smoked surfaced it was found later that the building has been caught fire.
Later, the people started to leave the building
