Fire Intensity in LA anticipated to increase once again

LOS ANGELES:  The wildfire, which began on January 7 in the city of Los Angeles, California, has not yet been fully contained.

According to U.S. media, the fires in various locations in Los Angeles have resulted in the deaths of at least 27 people, and the fires have burned over 40,000 acres of land, turning it to ashes.

Recently, officials had managed to significantly contain the fire, but now another powerful wind system is predicted to hit Southern California, which could further intensify the fire.

According to weather authorities, from Tuesday to Thursday, high winds and extremely low humidity will continue to pose a risk of the fire flaring up. During this period, humidity levels are expected to remain between 2% and 5% in many areas.

The meteorological agency also stated that nearly all areas of Southern California are facing severe drought conditions, with no rain expected this week.
