First time pilgrims will be given priority says Maryam Aurangzaib

Information minister Maryam Aurangzaib has said that federal cabinet approved Hajj policy for 2017 adding that the government will give priority to those who will go to Hajj for the first time while national career Pakistan International Airline (PIA)  also been instructed to reduce Hajj fares.

Briefing the media after federal cabinet meeting, the state minister said that the government quota for Hajj has been increased while the cabinet also decided to provide the best boarding lodging and transportation facilities to the pilgrims.

As per the cabinet decision, the person who will go to the Hajj for the first time will be given priority,she added.

On a query regarding fake medicines during the pilgrimage Maryam Aurnagziab told that a strategy has been envisaged out for prevention of fake medicines. An amendment will be done in drug act of 1997 and under a policy a bar code will be fixed on medicines which can be scanned for fake and real through smart phones.
