Noshera: As many as five people martyred including Chief of Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam Sami (JUI-S) Molana Hamid Ul Haq Haqqani several people injured in a suicide attack on a mosque of seminary in Akora Khttak during Friday prayers.
Inspector General (IG) Police Zulfiqar Ahmed confirming the suicide attack on the mosque of Akora Khattak seminary apprised that five people were martyred and many others injured.
The IG further informed that the target of the attack was Chief of JUI-S Molana Hamid Ul Haq Haqqani.
Chief Secretary KP Shahab Ali Shah also confirmed the death of the cleric.
Deputy Commissioner Noshehra informed that the body of Molana Hamid Ul Haq has been shifted to Combined Military Hospital Noshehra.
The DC apprised that the suicide attack was conducted on exit place where the cleric moved to his house in routine.
The blast carried out when Molana Hamid Ul Haq was going to his home.
According to District Police Officer (DPO) Noshehra apprised rescue services arrived at the crime spot. While injured have been shifted to the hospital.
The DPO informed that the blast at the seminary was suicide attack.
An emergency has been imposed in the Lady Reading hospital in Peshawar, the hospital administration said.
This seminary belongs to late Shaheed Molana Sami Ul Haq, chief of Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam Sami( JUI-S). The cleric was brutally murdered back in 2018.
He was martyred despite he was in coalition government with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
