After the completion of Anwar Mansoor Khan’s arguments the counsel of the petitioner Akram Shaikh opened his arguments saying that PTI has filed the wrong reports in the Supreme Court. They prepared these documents themselves and none of the document in PTI’s reply is correct. On this the Chief Justice said that it has to be seen if  PTI received prohibited funds, and if did who would take the action.

PTI’s counsel Anwar Mansoor Khan said that bank accounts count not even be opened without having the legal authority. As per the law each political has to give account for itself while Election Commission will take that account, the Chief Justice said. When Anwar Mansoor continued with his arguments the Chief Justice asked him to elaborate the matter to the Commission when the issue comes before it.

Justice Faisal Arab asked Mansoor if PTI has secured auditor’s services while Justice Umar Ata Bandial asked mansoor if his argument is accepted than who would ask questions to the auditor. Anwar Mansoor plead the court that his only contention was that just a single political party should not be selected.

The counsel of the Election Commission asked Anwar Mansoor to read the report submitted by the commission before raising objection to his submissions. The Commission could look at this issue due to reply based on mala fide and fraud, he added.

When Justice Bandial said that the information about foreign funding would come from other sources Anwar Mansoor said that the court could establish  a commission over this issue to which the Chief Justice asked why a commission should be formed when there is an institution.

When Anwar Mansoor said that private accounts of a political party could not advertised Justice Faisal Arab asked how a political party’s accounts could be private?
