The Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) acknowledged the incident and directed the Regional Police Officer to submit an immediate report.
Preliminary details suggest that former bar president Muneer Sadhana had just left his residence when two armed men on a motorcycle intercepted his vehicle and opened fire multiple times. Both Muneer Sadhana and his driver were killed on the spot.
Two bystanders were injured during the attack; one succumbed to their injuries after being admitted to the hospital, while the other is currently receiving medical care at the District Headquarters Hospital.
