DHAKA: Bangladesh’s Ex Chief Justice, ABM Khairul Hague has been taken into custody in connection with a murder case
Police arrested the former Chief Justice from his home and presented him before the court, which subsequently ordered his detention in jail. Justice Khairul Haque, a former judge, is named in a case related to the killing of a youth during the student movement last year. The case was registered by a leader of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). In this case, a total of 465 individuals, including former Chief Justice Khairul Haque and former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, are named as accused.
It is also noted that Justice Khairul Haque faces three cases against him, including charges of rebellion and fraud.
