LAHORE: Accountability Court (AC) of Lahore on Saturday handed over ex-director general Punjab sports board Usman Anwar to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on a 14-day remand in the Punjab youth festival corruption case.
The AC Judge Jawad Ul Hassan announced reserved verdict approving the anti-graft body insistence while the court also ordered to present the accused in the court on July 6 again.
It is pertinent to mention here that the NAB had arrested the ex-dg in the alleged corruption of millions of rupees in Punjab youth festival case.
According to the anti-corruption body millions of rupees corruption conducted on the occasion of Punjab youth festival held in 2011 and 2012 in various contracts.
The NAB said that the ex-dg found to be involved in financial irregularities by using his powers illegally in awarding the contracts on the occasion of the Punjab youth festival.
