Karachi: Eminent economist, former finance secretary and caretaker federal minister, Dr Waqar Masood passed away this morning.
President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have expressed their condolence with the deceased family.
The PM in his condolence message expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Dr Masood Khan.
He said that Dr Waqar Masood Khan services will always be remembered while he prayed for departed soul and high ranks in Jannah.
The late economist was Ph.D in Economics and Masters in Political Economy from Boston University, USA, as well as Masters in Economics and LLB from Karachi University, Dr Waqar Masood Khan had a wide-ranging experience of working with both public and private sectors.
