Islamabad: Former Foreign Minister and former Speaker National Assembly Gohar Ayub passed away at the age of 86
According to the sources, Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and former federal minister, confirmed the death of his father on social media., his funeral prayers will be offered tomorrow.
It should be noted that Gohar Ayub was the Son of former Field Marshal President Ayub Khan and the Father of Secretary General PTI Omar Ayub.Gohar Ayub Khan was born on January 15, 1937 in Rehana village of Haripur district. He was elected Speaker of the National Assembly on November 4, 1990 and held the position till October 17, 1993.
Apart from this, Gohar Ayub Khan has also served as the Foreign Minister of Pakistan from 1997 to 1998 during the government of Nawaz Sharif.
