WEB DESK: The son of former Indian cricketer and coach Sanjay Bangar has completed gender transition.
According to Indian media reports, Sanjay Bangar’s 23-year-old son, who was previously named Aryan, has now transitioned and is known as Anaya. After sharing her journey of hormonal transformation on social media a few months ago, she gained significant attention.
The report states that Aryan, who was born male, started hormone replacement therapy (HRT) in 2023 and has now fully embraced her new identity as a transgender woman. Since then, she has been trending on social media.
Anaya is currently playing cricket in the UK and has also shared the story of her complex and emotional journey on social media.
In an Instagram post, Anaya explained how, after 11 months of hormone replacement therapy, she has successfully found complete happiness.
It is worth noting that Sanjay Bangar played 12 Test matches and 15 One Day Internationals for India, and he has also taken on coaching responsibilities
